Lion Irons (my golf name) got a chance to perform his trademark golf celebration twice (putt for par on hole 5 and chip in for birdie on hole 10). The celebration includes the following: golf partner plays the club like a snake charmer. Lion leans over the hole and pretends his arm is a snake coming out of the green. Tiger’s fist pump pales in comparison to Lion’s snake bite.

SONiC Newscaster Bryce, the Intern Army’s Matt and Elliott rounded out the foursome. We golfed Coyote Canyon Par 3 (northwest of St. Albert) and in honour of the Ryder Cup, we decided to score our game the same.

I also got a chance to take in not one, but two hockey games. The Edmonton Oil Kings (don’t you love it when people point at the jumbotron when they’re on the jumbotron….well, that’s what happened to me), and the Edmonton Oilers.

My favourite Oiler (Sam Gagner) got a goal and assist. I was cheering for the Oilers (it’s hard not to) during both 25-minute halves of the Joey Moss Cup (noticed that there were less in attendance compared to last year, but anticipation for the season is high in Oil Country).

The Rickster (wondering how reality show hosts should never host the Emmy Awards again).
