Graham Scott passed away on Saturday June 19th, 2011. But his spirit lives on. In the tragic, tear filled days since we found out, it’s become apparent that Graham Scott touched so many lives within Edmonton and beyond. Graham brought joy to so many, who now ache deeply since word of his loss. And we’re better for having known him.
This program is dedicated in his memory. It’s not meant to be sad, though it surely will be. It’s a celebration of Graham being Graham. We wouldn’t have it any other way. Rest in peace, our brother, our friend. We miss you very much.

I am so sorry to hear that Graham Scott has passed away. I worked every Saturday for over 3 years and though I wasn’t allowed to listen to the radio at work…well, I still did! He will be missed as he was always entertaining and played some kicking music. Your show today was beautiful Adam and a fantastic tribute to an amazing individual.

That was tough to listen to, but beautifully done. I remember the day that I tuned in on a Saturday and he had moved to World FM…. I didn’t know what to do with myself. It was such a relief to hear his voice again. I can’t believe I never will again. It seems kind of crazy to be so shaken by the death of someone I have never met, but….
RIP Graham.

I was wondering where he was today! How did I not hear about this until now?
I called in a few times b/c I too am from England and talk too much. Graham emigrated to Canada on the same day as me. and I always appreciated so much how he commented on how happy he was to live in Canada. A true class act!
If we were driving in the car and hear Bush I’d laugh and say oh yeah it’s Saturday, Graham Scott day!
See you on the other side!!

WoW.
I can’t believe I only heard about it today. My weekends and holidays will never be the same again. We used to call him *that guy with the fake english accent* around our house but he quickly became the most beloved Sonic DJ around here. I became excited to listen when he was on the radio as time went by. Even after hearing that he was on the world FM, I even tried listening to him there haha
I wish I had called in to tell him how Fantastical he was… even if his internet posts to FB were usually a week old, we still appreciated his effort LOL
Radio will never be the same.
Tell everyone in your life how loved they are. They could be gone in a flash.

Graham Scott was the only DJ on Sonic that actually loved the music he played…and it showed. Most DJ’s only tell us the time and weather and maybe tell us that the band they played was in the studio making a new album. Graham always told stories about how the songs made him feel or he told us an interesting fact about the band that I had never heard before. I miss you Graham:(

During the end of summer and fall of 2008, when I met and spent time with Graham, I almost lost a friend to a heart attack-he is the father of my children, an old flame and remains a friend. At the time I was deeply saddened that my children almost lost their father (and he lose them), he would no longer be on this wonderful earth to enjoy the people and things he liked and loved; and that I almost lost a friend. And, when I learned that Graham Scott was not fortunate to escape an innevitable for all humans at some point in time, I felt the same. Graham’s loved ones “family and friends” have lost a dear person; he will no longer be on this wonderful earth to enjoy the people and things he liked and loved….I would like to share with you that Graham rekindled my love for “Live Music Experiences.” “Thank you for being interested enough in me to ask me to listen to your show and to invite me into your life that summer Graham; and, I feel honoured and happy to have listened to you and to have seen many sides of you that I am very compassionate toward. I absolutely loved listening to you talk about your interests and what you learned, your shows on weekends-when I could-and I will miss them for a long time. To everyone that knew him, my sincerest and deepest condolesces for your loss.
always listening

I always thought Graham Scott would be someone I’d love to meet and have a drink with. I loved the fact he loved the music. I learned so much, and enjoyed his enthusiasm. My weekend drives won’t be the same. RIP, our radio friend.

I am so shocked and saddened to learn of Graham’s death. I only learned of it today because I live in England but would occasionally tune in to hear him on a Saturday or Sunday night when he would be broadcasting our time. I just happened to look him up today. My interest in him came because as a 13-year-old Londoner I developed a huge crush on his father, Roger, who was then one of Capital Radio’s Top DJs. He introduced me to so much wonderful music, as it is clear that his son has also done to many more people since. I met Roger once and he was a perfect gentleman. I made a soft toy “Mr Man” (a children’s book character) for one of his sons who loved them and I believe it was Graham. I kept meaning to write to him and ask if it was him and tell him what his dad meant to me. I was so sad when Roger died (also, at a tragically young age but not as young as Graham) and I feel so sad now to learn that Graham has also died that I could cry. You were obviously lucky to have had him, Edmonton and I send my sincere condolences to all who were privileged to have known him.
