Due to very polite demand, the city of Edmonton will now have its very own day to celebrate good manners. TODAY (December 11th) has officially been proclaimed Edmonton’s Manners Day by Mayor Don Iveson.

Sonic 102.9’s Manners Movement promotes and rewards polite behaviour, resulting in a more respectful, compassionate and uplifting city and for that, I say ‘thank you’. I also say ‘please’ and ‘you’re welcome’ because manners are cool.” – Mayor Iveson
