A Haitian-Canadian electronic producer and DJ just won Canada’s most sought after music award. Kaytranada‘s debut album 99% beat out albums from artists like City And Colour and Half Moon Run to win the Polaris Music Prize. This is an award given to the ‘best full length Canadian album based on artistic merit’ and the DJ joins past winners including Tanya Tagaq and Arcade Fire.
