A controversial new high rise is set to be built in Edmonton.

 

City council approved a $250-million, 84-unit building on the vacant Southpark Motors location @ 106th street today. The construction project on Whyte could be started before the end of the year.  Edmonton city council gave the developers of Southpark on Whyte the green light on Monday, following a four-hour public hearing.
