Last year the Killers announced that bassist Mark Stoermer would be taking an indefinite sabbitical from touring with the band.

Now guitarist Dave Keuning is following in his footsteps.

The band announced on August 26th that Keuning would not be joining on the band’s upcoming Wonderful Wonderful tour, nor would Stoermer return. That just leaves frontman Brandon Flowers and drummer Ronnie Vanucci Jr. as the regular live members.

Keuning will not tour due to the “crazy tour schedule” and the time spent away from his family. He said that he “doesn’t know” what will happen after the tour.

Prior to the announcement, Flowers spoke about Stoermer’s decision:

“You know, the idea of him not touring, I think, and the fact that you can continue to record music together is a good example of how far you’ve come as a band, as individuals, as a family and shows a real sense of maturity.”

The band will release their fifth studio album Wonderful Wonderful September 23.
