LISTEN: This Town is Hosting a 0.5Km Race with Free Beer and Donuts Because Running is Hard & Donuts are Fun

Behold, the greatest race of all-time: the Boerne 0.5K.

Yes, that’s just 0.5K — half a kilometer, or 546 yards. It’s being run (or “run”) in Boerne, Texas, and they’re calling it “the running event for the rest of us.”

It is a run complete with a donut stop in the middle, and it starts and ends at 2 bars in the town, so you get free beer before and after the run.

The race is all in the name of charity, with funds going to something called “Blessings in a Backpack”.

I managed to track down one of the run’s organizers, Jay Milton, from Texas, and he told us all about this glorious event.
