Garbage is smart. They’ve figured out that the best way to build buzz about your album, especially when you’re releasing it yourself, is to get people talking about it on social media, and they’ve got the web sounding like a beehive leading up to the May 15th release of Not Your Kind of People.

On April 1st, Jack White and Third Man Records released 1,000 helium balloons into the air, each one containing a flexi disc of “Freedom at 21″ (an unreleased track from Jack’s first solo album, Blunderbuss, out April 23rd).
