A sure sign of the season – The Killers have released their annual holiday single!
“Christmas in L.A” hit iTunes yesterday (World AIDS Day), with all of the proceeds from the song going to Product (RED). Before you drop your hard-earned $1.29 on the song, you can preview it in the accompanying music video, which stars Owen Wilson and the voice of Harry Dean Stanton. Oh yeah, and those vocals you might not recognize in the song are provided by California band Dawes.
Earlier this week, Coldplay was honoured at the 17th Annual Hollywood Film Awards. No, Chris Martin doesn’t have some secret movie career that you don’t know about – they received the Hollywood Song Award, for their song “Atlas” from the upcoming Hunger Games sequel, Catching Fire.
The awards weren’t televised, but someone snuck in a camera and filmed the first known live-recording of the soundtrack tune. Check it out below
