Garner Andrews Show with Bryce Kelley

Monday to Friday - 5:30am-10:00am

I have read hundreds of these radio announcer bios over the years and must say that I am surprised at how many radio announcers were raised by wolves.  My story, in comparison, is quite dull.  I was raised in Saskatchewan by my school teacher parents (Corie and Garry) surrounded by my brothers (Grady and Graham) and my sister (Christy).  My parents and my siblings are all super smart and have degrees and letters before and after their names.  I, sadly, do not unless you count “DJ”.  Ha, ha.  That’s good stuff, G—damn good stuff.  I’ve been married to the same girl—the TW—for a long time.  I like her.  A lot.

I enjoy walking, running, writing, camping, TV, movies, books, art, playing guitar and listening to music.  And wings, I like to eat wings with my friends.  I have been in the media in some form or another since I graduated from high school.  I have worked in Yorkton, Prince Albert, Saskatoon, Victoria and Calgary; but being a part of the radio nerd herd that launched Sonic in that crappy trailer in Nisku back in 2005 was without a doubt the highlight of my career.

In my mind, nothing is more Canadian than The Tragically Hip. Not maple syrup, not hockey, not snow, not NOTHING! They continue to chug away making new music and will be releasing a new album this fall called “And Now For Plan A.” The first single is called ‘At Transformation’, and you can hear it right here, right now.
