Hello, my name’s Adam, and I’m the Music Director for SONiC.
Now, generally people have a tendency to over-inflate the importance of their job. I’m not going to do that. I don’t decide which songs we should play, nor do I think it’s a job for just one person. Here at SONiC, there are several people that collectively listen to new music every week, and each one of us offers our own input. If everyone likes a song, it gets thrown in the mix. Basically, I just do lots of research to decide which bands we’ll be listening to. That’s why it’s always nice when you guys tell me what you’re digging! It always helps, and I always appreciate it.
If you’re looking for personal info, I’m going to assume you’re a bored broadcaster*. If that’s the case, you should find better uses for your time. You could start by doing some show prep, or something like that. If you’re a listener, you can find me on Facebook, or whatever the social networking site-du-jour is. Let’s be friends.
*For whatever reason, people in radio have an unhealthy obsession with other people working in radio. It’s really weird.
