Rick Lee
Weekdays from 10am to 3pm
Rick credits his mom for who he is today. He's a proud NAIT graduate and for your personal enjoyment (or boredom), here's another seven things about Rick Lee that might not matter to you after you read this.
Realizes how important it is to remember what got him to where he is today. From Campbellton, NB to Edmonton, AB (it was grade 4 in Calgary when Rick wanted to be on the radio), his resume includes Calgary, Regina, Vancouver, and Victoria.
It takes about 6 hours to produce the SONiC REWiND. That has got to be one of the most asked question about the weekend countdown heard every Saturday at 10am, 6pm, Sunday at 10pm, and Tuesday at 1am.
Can’t wait to hear the new U2 album. Bono, The Edge, Adam, and Larry provide the soundtrack of Mr. Lee’s life. Where the Streets Have No Name, Bad, Running to Stand Still, Kite, City of Blinding Lights....the list goes on.
Knows how to play the drums. He’s been taking lessons for a year at Axe Music. Ask him to play a rim shot and Sunday Bloody Sunday for you.
Loves everything Pop Culture, the Oscars (he’s run an Oscar Pool for 15 years), Christmas, It’s a Wonderful Life, Rick or Treat during Halloween, watching the news, late night TV, Oakland Raiders, golfing, working out at the Y, BJs (that stands for Booster Juice....three cheers for matcha monsoon), drinking water...the list goes on.
Each one of you has an opportunity to get into radio if you want to.
Dream out loud, get your foot in the door (i.e. - volunteer and//or attend broadcasting school), be at the right time at the right place, and you'll find your way.
Endless gratitude - Rick finds it an honour and a privilege that people will take time out of their busy day to write an email or call in during the middle of the day.
