afpI believe my role as a future dad and current ‘dad-joke architect’ uniquely qualifies me to judge a bad joke or a prank that missed the mark. Check out the 3 that were at the top of my “worst “list:

1. The creators of TV’s HAPPY ENDINGS’ created a website with a countdown clock indicating the show is coming back to TV. They launched the site well over a month ago… the show isn’t coming back. It’s April Fool’s Day… not March Fool’s Month.

2. A college student in Michigan threw a firecracker at her roommate – it landed in a laundry hamper, which caught fire and burned the entire place to the ground. “Uh… April Fool’s?”

3. Google Maps Pacman app. I’m not saying it wasn’t awesome. But how is giving us a free video game we all enjoyed an April Fool’s day prank? Perhaps Google needs to google the word, ‘prank’.

So the question remains; who totally KILLED it with their April Fool’s prank this year? In my humble opinion, Katie Couric. The journalist made something of a memorable entrance on The Late Late Show with James Corden the other night.
