Depeche Mode is currently on tour, and as part of it, they’re inviting fans to run their Facebook page for the year. Recently, skateboard legend Tony Hawk was the lucky fan who received the esteemed honour – and he chose to share it with rock legend Trent Reznor.

 

“I’ve been a fan of Depeche Mode since hearing ‘Just Can’t Get Enough’ and ‘New Life’ on KROQ in 1981,” Hawk said in his introduction. That morning, Reznor had emailed Hawk a detailed message about what Depeche Mode means to him. Nine Inch Nails’ Pretty Hate Machine was heavily influenced by Depeche Mode, and Reznor spoke on that in the shared Facebook post:
