Linkin Park frontman Chester Bennington has died at age 41.

Bennington reportedly committed suicide at his Los Angeles home on July 20. He was married with six children.

Band members confirmed his death via Twitter.

His death comes just two months and two days after his friend Chris Cornell took his own life in the same way. Bennington was on hand at Cornell’s funeral where he performed Leonard Cohen’s “Hallelujah”. Today would have Cornell’s 53rd birthday.

Cornell’s wife Vicky tweeted a message after hearing about Bennington’s death.

Other musicians and celebrities have begun paying their tributes to Bennington as well.

Bennington and Linkin Park had just released their seventh studio album “One More Light” in May. Bennington also acted as frontman for Dead by Sunrise and Stone Temple Pilots from 2013-2015. Linkin Park’s 2003 album Meteora is one of the biggest alternative albums in music history.
