On Tuesday, the Internet went berserk over the rumour of a Breaking Bad movie being in the works. Well, break out a bucket of Los Pollos Hermanos chicken cause the rumours are true!

Aaron Paul has reportedly signed on to the project to reprise his role of Jesse Pinkman. The film will tell the story of the “escape of a kidnapped man and his quest for freedom,”, following the always-in-trouble Pinkman after the show’s finale. Unlike the prequel series Better Call Saul, the film will be a sequel to Breaking Bad.

Bryan Cranston confirmed the news, saying that, “Yes, there appears to be a movie version of Breaking Bad but I honestly haven’t even read the script.”. He said that although it’s unlikely that his character Walter White will return, he’d still be interested in the project. “If [creator] Vince Gilligan asked me to do it, then sure, absolutely.” He added, “This idea, from what I’m told, gets into those, at least a couple of the characters that were not completed as far as their journey.”

Show creator Vince Gilligan will write, executive produce, and possibly direct the movie. Filming began this month in New Mexico and will wrap up in February.
