After teasing their new album, Said The Whale have pulled back the curtain on their new LP Cascadia.

Arriving February 8, the new album is the follow up to the band’s 2017 As Long As Your Eyes Are Wide. In addition to the announcement, the Vancouver band unloaded a pile of new content including the album’s opener “Wake Up”, the title track “Cascadia” and the first episode of a three-part mini-doc series featuring each band member (this episode features the trio’s Jaycelyn Brown). Find all below.

On top of that, the band expanded their Discover Cascadia micro-site to include an interactive hotline (1-855-C4S-CDIA) which is “a place for fans to sign up to become a Cascadia Ambassador,” explains the press release.

“Cascadia is also the name of a proposed country comprised of British Columbia and the western United States,” said the band’s Tyler Bancroft in a statement. “That, at its core, is the physical manifestation of our music.

“All the elements that initially attracted people to our band are on this album but filtered through the lens of eleven years of experience with songwriting, touring, and just working together as people. When we started this band we were rudderless 20-somethings — over a decade later we are still making music, but along with that we’ve got marriages, engagements, and children in the mix. So we’ve essentially grown up together. With that level of camaraderie there is a degree of comfort and calmness that permeates the creative process.”
