Ya got PUNKED! By Flora Cash!

Did you notice the secret verse hidden in “You’re Somebody Else”? Don’t feel bad if you didn’t, cause it’s spoken backwards. After the third chorus, frontman Cole Randall sings:

“that you were gone / couldn’t believe / flesh and bone / pitch black / sat alone / I finally / whatever I had / beating heart that I / every bit of bea- / better part / you were the”.

In order to fool you, the audio was backmasked – a recording technique in which a sound or message is recorded backward onto a track that is meant to be played forward. The process was made popular by the Beatles when they used backwards instrumentation on their 1966 album Revolver. Other backmasking bands include Beck, Eminem, Franz Ferdinand, Imagine Dragons, the White Stripes and more.
