Metallica’s James Hetfield has signed on to a new gig – he’s acting in the upcoming film about serial killer Ted Bundy.

Zac Efron will play the role of Bundy in Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil, and Vile as Hetfield portrays Officer Bob Hayward, the Utah highway trooper who first arrested Bundy in 1975.

The film will debut later this month at the Sundance Film Festival in Park City, Utah.
