It’s no secret that Jack White is not a fan of phones at his shows. Last summer while touring Boarding House Reach, the frontman banned concert goers from using their phone during concerts. Now one of White’s other bands, The Raconteurs, are banning phones from their upcoming Australian tour.

The band, known as The Saboteurs in Australia, are planning a “fully immersive” tour with no connection to the outside world.

The group issued a statement saying, “We think you’ll enjoy looking up from your gadgets for a little while and experience music and our shared love of it IN PERSON.”

They went on to explain that the same Yondr pouches used on White’s tour will be used again. “Upon arrival at the venue, all phones and other photo or video-capturing gizmos will be secured in a Yondr pouch that will be unlocked at the end of the show. You keep your pouch-secured phone on you during the show and, if needed, can unlock your phone at any time in a designated Phone Use Area located in the lobby or concourse.”

The Raconteurs will return in 2019 with their first album in over 10 years. Check out their first track, “Sunday Driver”, below.
