The Lumineers' share gut-wrenching music video for 'Gloria'

The Lumineers have been leaving clues and bread crumbs online about their upcoming album, III. We now know that the album will follow three generations of women in the Sparks family, a fictional family.

The first family member we meet is Gloria, a new mother with a serious alcohol addiction. The character is inspired by a real family member of the band’s frontman, Wesley Shultz.

Gloria is an addict. Her character was inspired by a member of my family, and no amount of love or resources could save her.  She’s now been homeless for over a year.  Loving an addict is like standing among the crashing waves, trying to bend the will of the sea. – Wesley
