In an interview last month with BackStory, Audioslave guitarist Tom Morello stated that the band has “records worth” of unreleased music.

When asked if the band would move forward with a release, Morello said, “There certainly is a chance [for it to be released]. There are no plans for that currently to be released, but there’s no impediments to being released either.”

He went on to say, “We’ll figure it out at some point, but there’s a lot of records worth of stuff that didn’t get released. Some of the choices of what songs were on what records were almost arbitrary. There’s a few of my favourite Audioslave songs that just never fully saw the light of day, so hopefully they’ll come out with something.”

Audioslave formed in 2001 as a supergroup consisting of Chris Cornell, Tim Commerford, Brad Wilk and Tom Morello. The band disbanded in 2007 and reunited again in 2017 shortly before Chris Cornell’s death.
