Priscilla Presley agrees that Lana Del Rey should portray her in upcoming Elvis biopic

Despite having no professional acting experience, Lana Del Rey has been campaigning to portray Priscilla Presley in Baz Lurhmann’s upcoming Elvis biopic. And now the women herself is on her side.

Presley told The Blast that she “likes Lana” for the role. She agrees that the songstress bears a striking resemblance to herself.

After Austin Butler was cast as the King himself, Del Rey’s team reached out to Lurhmann for a chance at the role.

“Lana looks just like Priscilla and has decided there’s no way she won’t get the part,” a source said. She reportedly “feels it’s a role she was born to play”.

Presley has been in contact with Lurhmann about Del Rey’s portrayal of her. Tom Hanks has been added to the film’s roster as legendary manager Col. Tom Parker. The film is said to largely focus on Parker and Elvis’ relationship. No release date has been announced.
