Charlie Brooker, one of the creators of Black Mirror announced that season 6 will be pushed back for now.

Even though lots of us are looking for more seasons of our favourite shows to binge-watch right now, it may not be the right time for Black Mirror. Charlie Brooker said that viewers might not be able to watch those kinds of stories during recent events, with the pandemic going on.

“At the moment, I don’t know what stomach there would be for stories about societies falling apart, so I’m not working away on any one of those. I’m sort of keen to revisit my comic skill set, so I’ve been writing scripts aimed at making myself laugh.”

The last season of Black Mirror came out on Netflix in June of 2019, the most recent episode was the one where Miley Cyrus did a spin-off of Nine Inch Nail’s song Head Like A Hole.

Other than that, all we know about the future of the show is that the creator has said it’s very flexible:

“I don’t think there’s anything to stop us. We could do one-offs, we could do an ongoing story, we could do spin-offs.”
