You could buy Kurt Cobain’s acoustic guitar, for a million dollars.

It’s the acoustic guitar that was used back in 1993 during Nirvana’s MTV Unplugged set in New York. It will be auctioned off June 19th-20th, in Beverly Hills by Julien’s Auctions as part of their “Music Icons” auction. The winning bid gets his 1959 Martin D-18E electric-acoustic guitar and everything that comes with it like the original case that Kurt Cobain decorated. The case is covered with an old punk band flyer and has old baggage claim tickets on the case’s handle. A press release said that inside of the case there’s still three guitar picks, a pack of Martin guitar strings that are half-used, and a suede “stash bag”. The starting estimate for all of that is a million U.S dollars.

Other Kurt Cobain items have been auctioned up in the past. The famous green cardigan that he wore during the same show was sold for $334,000 last year.
