Listener Holly writes, “I need to know the story behind the Flaman man”!

The Flaman man of course is the running robot man that can be spotted at both Flaman Fitness locations in Edmonton, on the North Side and by the side of the highway near Nisku. The Flaman has outfits that rotate with the seasons too, ranging from Oilers jerseys in playoffs to leprechaun costumes on St. Patrick’s day.

So we tracked down Jason, regional manager for Flaman Fitness… to learn the untold history of the Flaman Man: How it happened, why it became a thing, and how it’s weathered Alberta winters. Jason even shares the hilarious story of how the internet freaked out when reports of a Flaman Man getting taken down went viral…
