Tool's guitarist announces Signature Les Paul Guitar, a short film and new music

Adam Jones is a four-time Grammy Award-winning artist and the guitarist from Tool. He’s been working on multiple projects, which were announced yesterday.

He’s partnered with Gibson to release his own signature instrument, a 1979 Gibson Les Paul Custom guitar. According to Gibson this will be a “multi-year partnership” with the Tool guitarist.

There will be two versions of the guitar released. The first release will feature 79 of the guitars which will come signed and numbered, followed by 179 guitars with exclusive silkscreen artwork on the back of the headstock.

With the announcement of the guitar he released a seven-minute short film involving a soundtrack he put together with the help of Tool bandmates Danny Carey and Justin Chancellor. The short film is called The Witness.
