Tom Morello's new EP features Eddie Van Halen tribute and Slash collaboration

This past week Tom Morello released a new EP titled Comandante. It’s a five song EP that features a collaboration with Slash, a tribute to Eddie Van Halen, as well as a Jimi Hendrix cover.

The Van Halen tribute is a song called “Secretariat” which is a guitar driven track featuring a similar type of scaling that is heard in Eddie Van Halen’s song “Eruption”. The Jimi Hendrix cover is the first track on the album and is Morello’s take on “Voodoo Child”.
