City Councillor Aaron Paquette advocated for the Nathan Fillion Civilian Pavilion this week, giving his stamp of approval on the name – and offering immense insight on how we can make this happen!

Yesterday – we announced we’re selling “City of 1 Million for the Civilian Pavilion” T-Shirts with all proceeds going to the Edmonton Foodbank!  We think this charity contribution will finally convince city council to name a building, “The Nathan Fillion Civilian Pavilion”.  We believe it can prove that it’s more than just a fun name honoring a great Edmontonian, but that it can also be a force for good in the community too!

Aaron had previously given a thumbs up for the name on Twitter – and added in our interview that The City of Edmonton Naming Committee will have to debate the name, and if approved, it will then head to city council.  Aaron added, “and that’s when we see if city council has a sense of humor or not, and whether they recognize all the good things people have done in order to push for this”.

Aaron also offered, “Not only should you sign the petition…you should share it on social media, you should write to your concillor & you should talk to your neighbors about what a wonderful city we would be if we had the Nathan Fillion Civilian Pavilion!
