Bad news for Coldplay fans – the band has a self-administered expiration date. According to frontman Chris Martin, they’ll stop making music in 2025.

In October, Martin shared that the band only has “three albums left”. That means the band only has three years to create their last three albums.

During a conversation with BBC Radio 2 presenter Jo Whiley, Martin said, “Well I know I can tell you: our last proper record will come out in 2025 and after that, I think we will only tour. Maybe we’ll do some collaborative things but the Coldplay catalog, as it were, finishes then.”

Coldplay released their most recent album, Music of the Spheres, in October 2021.
