Billy Talent are supporting Canada’s Food Banks with their upcoming tour.

In addition to donating a portion of ticket sales to Edmonton’s Food Bank in Edmonton, the group have also arranged to have Edmonton’s Food Bank on-site at Edmonton Convention Centre to collect non-perishable food donations from fans of the band.  Billy Talent’s philanthropic efforts for this worthy cause have been led by Aaron Solowoniuk, the band’s founding drummer who has stepped back from his seat at the drum kit due to his ongoing battle with MS to focus on the band’s charity work.

According to Aaron, “We want to use our tour to help people in every city we play in. Food Banks across Canada are critical in helping to address hunger but they have been impacted significantly during the last two years of the pandemic.   We are asking our fans who are attending our shows to bring a non-perishable food item so we can help people in the community. Additionally, we’ll be donating a portion of every ticket to the local food bank in each tour city. Together with our fans, we will be able to help so many people.”

The band will be raising money and collecting food for food banks at each stop on their Canadian tour.
