Red Hot Chili Peppers have had quite the year. They’ve released two albums and both have reached #1 on the Billboard Top Album Sales chart.

The Chilis’ first LP of the year, Unlimited Love, marked the group’s first album with guitarist John Frusciante since 2006’s Stadium Arcadium, which just so happened to be the band’s last number-one album. In October, the Chilis released Return of the Dream Canteen, which also topped the charts. Billboard reports that Red Hot Chili Peppers are the first band to have two consecutive number-one albums in a year since System of a Down topped the charts with both Mezmerize and Hypnotize in 2005.
