Red Hot Chili Peppers were featured on the February 5 episode of 60 Minutes.

The group appeared to discuss their 40-year career as a band, the physicality of their shows, and their constant desire to disrupt.

Anthony Kiedis, Flea, Chad Smith, and John Frusciante explained their writing process – including their face-offs in the studio.

At one point, Smith jokes that the band used to have groupies, but now they have “tech support and physical trainers”.

Frusciante admitted that he’s very diligent about his show prep, rehearsing for four hours before the concert even begins.
