Foo Fighters reveal Josh Freese as new drummer

Foo Fighters have officially welcomed their new drummer. On Sunday, May 21, the band introduced their latest addition – Josh Freese.

Josh Freese has officially joined @foofighters!

During Sunday's global live-streamed event, the band announced that Freese will join the group following the passing of Taylor Hawkins.

Freese has been a staple in alternative music for decades, having experience drumming for Weezer, Nine Inch Nails, Guns N’ Roses, A Perfect Circle, Sublime with Rome, Paramore, and more.

He joins Foo Fighters just over a year after the passing of drummer Taylor Hawkins.

Foo Fighters’ forthcoming album, But Here We Are, will be released on June 2.
