One year after releasing Formentera, Metric have announced that its companion album, Formentera II, will be released this fall. In addition to the announcement, the band shared the first single, “Just The Once”.

The band describes Formentera as a “dark, insular obsession that stemmed from the lockdown” while Formentera II  is described as “the lighter side of being able to explore again”.

In a press release, the Metric described “Just The Once” as “regret disco”, explaining that “it’s a song for when you need to dance yourself clean”.
