Metric fans! Now is your chance to be involved in the band’s upcoming project!

There aren’t many details, but on Wednesday, the band took to Twitter to invite fans to take part in a “special project” for their new single “Just The Once”.

You’re invited to submit a vertical video of yourself singing, dancing, or “doing whatever your heart desires” to the tune of “Just The Once” to be featured.

Last week, Metric announced Formentera II, the companion album to 2022’s Formentera.

The band describes Formentera as a “dark, insular obsession that stemmed from the lockdown” while Formentera II  is described as “the lighter side of being able to explore again”.

In a press release, the Metric described “Just The Once” as “regret disco”, explaining that “it’s a song for when you need to dance yourself clean”.

Formentera II will be released on October 13. Pre-order it here and check out the tracklist below.
