Following the news that they would no longer be performing live, Sum 41 have paid tribute to Rage Against The Machine with a cover of “Sleep Now In The Fire”.

On Tuesday, the Canadian rockers shared their cover, which they first performed at Hellfest in June 2023.

“In the light of the news of [Rage Against The Machine] never performing again, we wanted to salute one of our all-time favourite bands,” the band wrote.

The video begins with frontman Deryck Whibley inviting guitarist Dave Baksh to “play one of the best guitar riffs ever written.”

Sum 41 themselves have announced their disbandment following the release of their final album, Heaven :x: Hell, in March.
