Vampire Weekend have launched their new podcast, Vampire Campfire. The first 37-minute episode is out now and features bandmates Ezra Koenig, Chris Baio, and Chris Tomson sitting around a campfire chatting about their upcoming album, Only God Was Above Us.

In an Instagram post, Koenig wrote, “We’ve been psyched having “Capricorn” and “Gen-X Cops” out in the universe. Thanks for listening. Can’t wait until you have the whole album.

Now we’d like to take you further into our world with the first episode of “VAMPIRE CAMPFIRE.”

Me, CT and Baio have talked for years about doing some kind of podcast but it never really clicked until we added the primordial element of FIRE. Sitting by a campfire and chatting is a favorite VW pastime and now it’s been captured on a trio of Ikegami ITC-730AP cameras.

We talk new music, influences and our upcoming tour. We also discuss the potential of a future album called ‘The 40-Year-Old E-Mail.’ But in the meantime, let’s stay focused on ‘Only God Was Above Us.’

More music next week.”

Vampire Weekend will release Only God Was Above Us on April 5.
