The Black Keys’ drummer Patrick Carney says the band “got f*cked” ahead of their North American tour cancellation. They have now fired their management team.

Back in April, the band announced 31 tour dates across arenas in the US and Canada. However, the tour was mysteriously canceled in May with no explanation. Following speculation of low ticket sales, the Ohio duo has revealed plans for rescheduled dates at smaller venues.

Now, Carney has spoken on the situation for the first time, posting to X that “We got f*cked”.

“I’ll let you all know how so it doesn’t happen to you. Stay tuned,” he added.

Following the tour cancellation, The Black Keys split from their management team, Irving Azoff and Steve Moir of Full Stop Management, in what was described as an “amicable parting”.
